WHAT DOES A MBA PROGRAM

The main requirement to obtain a MBA (Master of Business Administration) via Distance Learning through the APEL system is to have at least 5 years of demonstrable professional experience in management. The program consists in agreeing with your supervisor a thesis to be carried out, of at least 50 pages, for review and evaluation by the academic committee of Selinus University. If, for various reasons, the thesis is insufficient to demonstrate the candidate's skills, further in-depth reports or an interview with a specialized supervisor may be required. It is the candidate's right to send consultable references from persons, institutions or companies.

 To access the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program you must have a Bachelor degree or equivalent .  If this requirement is not met, Selinus University may consider enrolling in a Dual Degree program (Bachelor + MBA).
In order to be admitted to the program, the candidate, through the A.P.E.L. assessment of the CV, must obtain at least 29 credits. The final thesis will be assessed 11 credits, for a total of 40 credits. The time to complete  the thesis ranges from a minimum of six months to a maximum of 24. The MBA is a most prestigious degree in management and can also be carried out in a specific Major, for example: MBA in Management, Finance, Executive Leadership, Banking, etc.

To enrol in the MBA program by APEL you must have at least 5 years of experience in Management and at least 25 years of age. What does a DBA Program consist of Doctor of Business Administration by Research

Admission to the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) by Research program requires a bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of managerial, entrepreneurial, economic-financial and administrative experience.
Selinus University’s DBA can only be obtained through a pathway by Research via Distance Learning. The structure of the program consists of original, independent and autonomous research carried out by the candidate in a specific area of Management according to the available study Majors and concludes with the development of a final thesis evaluated by the Selinus University board.
The DBA program is entirely carried out in Distance Learning and "by Research" mode; that explains the much lower cost in comparison with a "traditional" DBA usually spread over two or three years of study. In fact, each credit costs only 50,00 euros compared to about 250,00 euros for an on-campus program. Since 65 credits are needed, the cost of the program will be 3.250,00 euros all inclusive.
If the dissertation is not sufficient to demonstrate the candidate's competencies for various reasons, the development of additional reports or an interview with a specialized tutor may be required. It is the candidate's right to send consultable references from individuals, institutions or companies.
The time to do the thesis ranges from a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 24 months.

What is a program by APEL
(Accreditation Prior Experiential Learning)

With the APEL system Selinus University applies an innovative and flexible method of validation of the candidate's skills, taking into account his general profile, his previous activities, his general and professional skills and his general curriculum, validating credits from previous studies, interrupted university courses, private training, business, professional, managerial and cultural activities, qualifications, certifications, etc. Selinus University's Distance Learning program for the achievement of the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) does not provide for traditional examinations but for the production of reports (Units Examination) following the study of textbooks. The reports are validated and transformed into academic credits for graduation purposes.

 

APEL validation of the candidate's CV

To access the BBA program the first step is to submit the form published at the bottom of the page, attaching your CV. Within a few days the CV is examined and the candidate receives the "Provisional Certificate".This is a document in which are highlighted the credits obtained following the CV validation, the study Majors recommended for the BBA and the cost, which is determined by the number of credits. To obtain a BBA you need 120 credits, from this amount must be subtracted the credits obtained with the validation of the CV. If the candidate reaches at least 90 credits, in some cases, he can be admitted directly to the final thesis. If he obtains less than 90 credits, he must obtain the missing ones by taking exams through a system of written reports. The final thesis, to be agreed with your supervisor, must be assessed at least 30 credits in order to complete the necessary amount of 120 credits. If, for various reasons, the thesis is insufficient to demonstrate the candidate's skills, the development of further in-depth reports or an interview with a specialized supervisor may be required. It is the candidate's right to send consultable references from persons, organizations or companies. Only the best professionals and the most qualified managers have a BBA. Adding the specialization of a BBA to the curriculum means significantly broadening employment horizons at a global level. The BBA obtained allows access to all Selinus University's Master programs.

 

How to access the BBA program

To access the BBA program via Distance Learning through the APEL system you must be at least 25 years old, have a High School Diploma and have at least 5 years of demonstrable professional experience in management related to the chosen study address. Selinus University's Business School is open to Professionals, Entrepreneurs, Managers, with a high school diploma who have at least 25 years of age and 5 years of demonstrable professional experience in the chosen academic branch. Very rarely our students, that are managers, professionals and entrepreneurs, need to obtain licenses or transfer academic credits to/from other institutions; most of the times they already have a degree and are established professionals. However, in the United States, many licensing authorities require accredited degrees as a basis for licensing. In some cases, accredited universities may not accept non-accredited universities degrees for transfer courses and some employers may require an accredited degree as a basis for employment eligibility.

Selinus University respects the specific rules and regulations of each country and does not seek to influence the respective authorities.
